Adriel is on page 80 of 352 of The Case for a Creator: A Journalist Investigates Scientific Evidence That Points Toward God
Lee Strobel tackles Christianity from a scientific approach this time, challenging claims that science has disproved the need for a creator. So far he has covered powerful evidence that a supernatural creator is not only a possibility, but a necessity. Scientific evidence has not ruled out the existence of God, but rather is powerful testimony in favor of God.

Thoroughly enjoying this book so far. Though the writers have a bias toward Christianity, they write as objectively as possible and make their case through logic, philosophy, history, and even science. Their book is set up in a systematic fashion, building their case from the ground up. Very easy to read. I'd recommend it to anyone already.

A lot of interesting scientific facts revealed. I have heard of these evidences before, so it's a good reminder. He quotes a number of people to support his claims, both within the evolutionist camp and outside of it, most of them (if not all) scientists. One thing I don't like is that he tends to stray from the topic and delve into theology and preaches Christianity unnecessarily, a topic not in focus for this book.

Pretty quick paced, straight-to-the-point read. Seems like a good initial primer to introduce people to big facts that undermine the theory of evolution. It may not be a book for everyone, since it is written by a Christian author who inserts some biblical and Christian notions along the way. However, the facts are stated clearly with support, and they can be verified. This might be a quick finish if I keep on it.

Kind of slacking on this book, but not because I'm losing interest. I have been partaking in other sources of information alongside this book. Anyway, Strobel in this chapter is interviewing Paul Copan about selective about aspects of Jesus and his teachings, and picking and choosing elements from religions to make their own. Needless to say, this idea is foundationless and goes against the idea of absolute truth.

Now as a believer, Strobel is stricken with tough questions regarding the identity of Jesus, perpetuated by skeptic and atheist scholars today. Though he has his doubts, he shows no mercy, bringing the criticism and objections at full force to the people he interviews. I love that about this man; no sugarcoating, no running away, straight to the point. Just the facts, reason, and an open mind.

About 10 years after Case for Christ, this book seems to build and expand on it. Same format: Strobel travels to meet only the top scholars in the field and revered as authoritative from both sides (Christians & Skeptics). Powerful evidence and reasoning are shown so far. 1st interview: Dan Wallace and the reliability of the New Testament and its transmission and refuting claims by critic Bart Ehrman.

So far, it reads similar to Steelheart. Not a bad thing at all. Eager to see where the story goes in this sequel.

Each interview effectively builds upon the next. Strobel makes smart steps in creating the foundation for his personal case for Christ. Starting at the essential reliability of the gospels, to transmission accuracy, to outside source corroboration, to archaeological support, and now to responding to some scholarly critiques, attacks, and twisting upon the gospels. Onto a psychologist's perspective next.

Pretty fast-paced book. David is still unappealing to me, but I guess he's okay. Story-wise, I feel like the book barely started, as in, not much has happened yet. If it were a 2-hour movie, it feels like it'd be 20 minutes in. If it were a 26 episode anime, I feel like it'd be still on episode 2.

Slowing down a bit on the reading. Doing my best to digest as much as possible, as well as working on my reflection on the content. Coming along well, and making a good impression on me.

Off to a pretty good start. Feels like X-Men. I like X-Men. Not really sure I'm digging the main character though...

I really admire Lee Strobel's attitude. As a skeptic, he shows no mercy with his questions to scholars he feels are elite in the fields he believes are essential to building an airtight case for Christ (reliability of the New Testament, outside corroboration, transmission of the texts, etc.), yet he shows the utmost respect and open-mindedness throughout his interviews. A real struggle for the truth. I'm inspired.

Lee Strobel, former atheist and Yale graduate journalist with pitbull-like tenacity when it comes to peppering with questions and firmly attempting to find the truth through hard, airtight evidence, recounts his 2 year journey seeking the truth. He travels hundreds of miles to meet only the toughest, most knowledgeable scholars to pick apart the claims made by the Bible, those who believe in it, and Jesus himself.
