Girl i have no idea what page im on but I finished the first chapter including that Q&A. Lots of questions. Gasped at the Duncan Idaho part. excited to read more! It helps that I just finished dune so it’s still fresh in my mind but the recap is definitely helpful

Fireeeee omg Paul officially a sandrider. So much tension between him and Stilgar this chapter. U really get the sense of how much he’s grown in earned confidence. Got really scared when the ornithopter appeared I thought it was over. Next chapter is long im nervous

ok I went through a lot of emotions this chapter. still reeling from the timeskip and not totally on board, it felt like we lost a lot of momentum. but im reserving judgment. I also was feeling unconvinced by Alia but they kept emphasizing that she’s truly *not normal* so I eventually came around but it was weird at first trying to imagine a 2 year old saying all this stuff. im invested though

wait wait wait i was NOT prepared for a 3 year timeskip. this had me wondering if i missed something in the previous chapters lollll so much revealed in not even that long of a chapter. i dont read romance that much so the descriptions of paul and chani’s relationship are pretty lovely even if they are somewhat jarring lol

a strategy chapter oooh. I liked this. this is what I mean when i say i wanna be a fly on the wall

had to go back and read the previous harkonnen chapter to make sure I understood all the double crossing here LOLL. they are horrible (killing the slave women etc) but so fun to read about

i like that saying at the end “do not count a human dead until you’ve seen his body. and even then you can make a mistake” bc it’s been 60 years and im still getting a kick out of movies that use that as a plot twist. fun chapter F-R is bloodthirsty asf

The ending of that chapter holy shit. Whole house distraught 😭😭 jessica freaking out about Paul and chani and Paul internally turning on jessica NOOOO…I was enjoying their mother/son relationship so much…another great chapter. Paul crying at Jamis’ ceremony and that of course meaning something to the Fremen was so interesting

paul muad’dib atreides Yoooooo…it’s weird reading this and Paul saying I can’t let that happen knowing some shit is definitely about to happen lmaoooo. Good ass chapter. I love a character like Jamis who is just completely skeptical of the newcomers/prophesied characters and a little off their rocker. Usually doesn’t end well for them for the sake of the plot lol. Paul first kill! Crazy stuff. 509 pages in!

ALLIANCE 🔥🔥🔥 another good chapter. kinda wish I didn’t know that zendaya plays chani in the movies it’s distracting me cuz I can’t see it the way I see rebecca and timothee for jessica and paul. we shall see

damn that was a good ass chapter. kynes 💔💔💔 using his father as a vehicle for him to process his mortality & looming death…so good! so many hard hitting lines this chapter. he was being a planetologist til the very end
