finished part 1, im into it! illustrations feel shel sliverstein

I’m glad I pushed through! I read this book after seeing the movie, which felt one-dimensional, and am pleasantly surprised to see this story has so much more to offer. The characters are interesting and developed.

Truly one of those books that I am more than happy to put down for anything that looks somewhat compelling.
I dont hate it and I find it semi-relatable as a young woman. I am bored by the recurring idea that men are the end-all-be-all of happiness. I know this isn’t the moral of the story, but oh my god that’s just as boring and predictable. Does she have hobbies?

Kind of boring so far, trying to push through. Nanny is an interesting character and thankfully provides some sort of comedic relief’s to the otherwise apathetic Melena and religiously fanatic Frex.
