Magical places...

Wanted to get started on this before going to an Ali Smith event tomorrow evening - v.exciting!

This book, Helen's stories and White's retellings are like a soap opera I can't get enough of. I'm almost too invested.

These last couple of chapters have made me both chuckle out loud and feel so pained for someone else's situation. Helen's story is beautiful.

I'm now dreaming about trying to feed hawks...

From then on, the hawk was inevitable.

Stumbled across the BBC doc with Helen and her hawk love back awhile and have been meaning to read this ever since. The upcoming film has reminded me how intrigued I was by her story.
