I hate this for Neeka but I hate heteronormative standards sometimes like wdym you made a mistake and she was somewhat even calm but you can’t extend the same grace

I need a break, they’re too much for me. I read a review and what they said was so true. Neeka’s identity is wrapped and engrained in Denny even her attempt at self development was falsehood. Her growth has been halted in such a way that though she’s maturing she’s not and that’s at no fault of her own.

I genuinely feel so sick. Like mental illness isn’t contagious but flipping hell, Neeka got a lil of whatever Denny got, I want better for my sis goodness gracious.

I have to take breaks to ingest the crazy. Seeing Neeka behave like this makes me sick, I wish she took Dr Winters up on that offer… like gosh you need help. I don’t think I’ll ever truly root for them the daddy thing will never ever work for me.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully stomach age gap books, I felt the same way about the soul series. Like woww you’re crazily in love and it’s with a teenager yayyy.

So I started reading this book last year… it was a lot being close in age to Neeka I couldn’t fathom this or tolerate much of it. Someone recommended the author and here I am starting back. I’m at the pregnancy scene and this man is demented I don’t subscribe to crazy love I subscribe to psychiatric help.

I don’t like the main guy, 29 is too damn old to be going on the way he does. The whole sentiment of he met someone who was different to all the other girls is played and irritating to me. And I HATE how he treats women like he’s rude and disrespectful and it’s not cute at all, realistically how a man treats other women is indicative of his character but this is a book i guess

Kain has nerve don’t get me wrong arabella is off the rails he doesn’t deserve this. But! When he was manic and off his shit, Arabella’s naive ass stuck by him through it all in this no good marriage. He’s selfish asf, she sacrificed so much in such a short period of time. I hate men man the way they operate and never execute reciprocity.

I need this book to end. It’s torture (in a good way) I’m just grimacing and sighing.

Every time I read “my marriage” and “my husband” I get so annoyed. Just what she needs to worry about.

Ok so they’re not married yet. They’re getting married now. The telling of the wedding sounds so pretty and intentional, I won’t doubt the sincerity of their love but it feels tainted and disastrous. I can’t enjoy it or eat it up because guys plssss stop!

THEY’RE MARRIED?! Omg, I’m so irritated. Arabella is young and dumb (no shade) and Kain is manic and out of his mind (no shade again) and they’re in love, what a horrible recipe.
