I can’t believe Helen Burns died. The foreshadowing was there but still!

And the introduction to spring was also so beautiful and Jane is gaining more confident which I love but the way the author switches it up and starts talking abt the cruel sickness going around was so sad.

Finally the book is making more sense to me. Jane eyre is really just a little girl navigating the world through her own lense and at the same time trying to understand how others navigate such a cruel work filled w punishments and consequences and judgments

The first few pieces were so intimately familiar I couldn’t help but let out tears.
Tears of grief and sadness, but also tears of gratitude that someone understands me more than I ever could’ve imagined.
