Super cute so far! Love the relatability of being in your senior year and I also love the two POV’s

Alfie has cheated death, avoided his dad remarrying, and even wasted a year to impressed a girl who ended up being not so kind. The detective still doesn’t believe him and thinks he’s lost his marbles but I’m really enjoying the story and want to see where Gianna comes into the picture.

Really interesting so far!

Started a bit slow but is definitely getting somewhere! This book has gotten me out of my reading slump, I can’t seem to stop saying “just one more chapter.” January and Gus are writers and January writes romance while Gus doesn’t believe in happy endings. Both so different, yet reunited years after college, they’re so similar. Will they take the leap of faith they’ve been given?

Uh oh and yay. Violet’s boyfriend (Xaden: duke) and ex (Halden: prince) have to come on the trip with her to find Andarna’s kind…which we now know a general area thanks to Dain who got her father’s book out from his father’s sight. It’s the last thing she’ll read from her father and it might just save the world!

Xaden’s a professor now?? And because of their rules, that forbids his relationship with Violet. But! They can still talk to each other in their minds through their bond. Also, quest squad is going soon to find Andarda’s kind (“Irids” short for iridescents) to hopefully find a cure for Xaden. He’s slowly changing and so is the fate of Basgiath.

Xaden is the Duke of Tyrendor?! Um hello! Nobody knows that he’s venin either…and he’s slowly losing control. But Violet is trying to find a cure. And they’re all trying to find peace with riders and fliers before they kill each other…the whole kingdom only has 6 months to get their shit together and fight in hopes of living!!

I’m close to the end which is sad but I’m just loving the imagery, the description, the relationships strengthening, and the conversations in this series! Xaden and Violet have came so far and ugh can’t get enough of their moments together, easy and difficult, that’s what makes a relationship. Alsooo, Xaden has a second signet?! (1st is shadow weilder, what’s the other???) 😮🤭

Okay so, Violet went behind Xaden’s back to get a luminary? From this tecarsus guy who’s shady. Xaden was already there when she arrived and was not pleased but basically, she wielded her lighting to kill a venin who WAS NOT expected in return for them bringing 100 gryphon rider cadets to Aretia for training + the luminary. I can’t wait till Violet can wield at her full control :) and hoping they win this war!

The war is here. And Violet is insanely bruised and broken from professor Varrish’s interrogation. But the cat is out of the bag…everyone knows there is a war against the creatures who were a myth. But everyone is alive..so far. And Xaden & Violet have finally said “I love you” !!! :))

WHAT. First off, knowing that the professors of Basgiath are corrupt is not good…they know Violet is a lightning weilder which is very powerful but they use it to manipulate and torture herself. they know that she knows they’re not telling the truth about what is out there. Gryphons aren’t killing civilians, vernin are. She can’t tell her friends. And she’s still in love with Xaden but can’t tell him yet

Wow a lot has happened already since the last book. Violet is now a second year and having a hell of a hard time in school under corrupt leadership. Many threats, secrets, and lies. Her and Xaden are a bit on the fence right now about trust but I have a feeling he’ll win her back! Oh and Andarna has been growing to an adolescence now, very grumpy and her scales are now black like Tairn’s.

WHAT- Xaden and Violet FINALLY DID- omg omg. And the things he says has me swooning over him too. I can’t even believe what I read. Oh and that’s not even the best part, Violet’s Signet finally came, she’s a lightning weilder!!
