This book has no character development whatsoever... Killian hated that his ex-gf wanted to get a cat, but he volunteers at an animal shelter. Like, I'm sorry, what? Can we have more context?

Also, why do some chapters reference discussions, arguments, events that happened but were never written in the book at all...

There is no chemistry between the characters because there is no development in the relationships
