I just finished the essay about booker t washington. I remember being in high school (where i was the only black student in my class) and our history teacher asked us to discuss whether we agreed more with booker t washington or WEB Du Bois and let me just say that i remember exactly who said what

The book is frustrating because the author is obviously very capable. She’ll write something that’s interesting and thoughtful and then the next sentence will be like… But I’m just an eldest daughter! Derp! What are we doing here. Is there any hope for literature, or for women
