I LOVE Rocky. He is wonderful and smart and cute. And this book is wildly fascinating. Big fan.

Im quite entertained, and the science is really fascinating

I am decidedly not impressed with the writing quality of the book, but o like the idea of the premise and want to see how it’s executed

So annoyed and over this book, I feel like some of the elements are clunky (like the whole olive rebel??) and I feel like sometimes it’s trying to hard to really BE something, you know?

This woman is driving me crazy with how often she says the word “for”. Now I feel like I need to read a book from this period to see if they really talk like that. But also. This book isn’t written in that kind of voice except for the fricken word FOR.

Ah my heart aches, and yet I see a bit of myself in her.

The romance ahhhhhh I want it. Diego seems like a genuinely good man, he doesn’t want her to give up everything for him. She’s consumed both with him and the idea of independence and freedom, a power complex. Because she hasn’t had much agency or opportunity before she doesn’t realize she could have both.
