The audible production of this book is a chef's kiss and I am enjoying the book a whole lot. Although Emma seems like a very bad judge of character thinking too highly of her match making skills. I don't not like her though as her intentions are mostly pure.

Okay so far. This didn't make me laugh even once. Scared the shit out me thrice and made me super angry twice. so I don't know if i should carry on but because Barnes and nobles liked it.. maybe I'll give it a go.

I feel like the story captures the emotion of a person who is in love with someone who almost feels like sand. Slipping away gradually and collecting at the feet. This book captured the feeling of a person in love with someone perishing and the pain they feel not instantaneously but after a while and chronically. Not the pain of separation itself but more like the pain of the connection they know they can't leave.

The story is very predictable and i don't get much attached to the characters. Philippe adopts the story telling technique almost like Gabriel Garcia Marquez with hints into future description although I was not as fascinated as i thought I would be. Although the story is very common it does manage to provoke the grief. The sense of emotional outburst.
