Its actually fucking nuts that Thomas and James Noriega were able to ravage so many foreign governments for so long. How did nobody see that letting the notoriously tight-knit Noriegas run both the CIA and State Dept. was going to cause innumerable issues for us as a nation?

Framing this book as a dual-biography is very appropriate, as these are men who invaded sovereign nations under the most personal of pretenses.

Don't judge me! Columbine is one of the defining myths of my childhood, a name still uttered whenever violence breaks out in the american classroom. I feel like it's my duty to try my best and understand this event considering how flagrantly it has been simplified in the mainstream press.
This book contains some really fascinating information regarding the highly conservative social structure at Columbine

Don't judge me! Columbine is one of the greatest myths of my childhood, a name still uttered when violence breaks out in the American classroom. Despite being the most qell-documented

Jesus H. Christ, man. More inaccessible than House of Leaves immediately from page one; the text reads like an unholy marriage between Shakespeare's sonnets and the work of William Burroughs, there's a broken historical timeline ticking gradually forwards from JFK's assassination on every page, and the page numbers signify that you can read the book both back-to-front and front-to-back. What is bro on? Good so far !

Unbelievably captivating book. Act 1: The Murders & Surrounding Circumstances. Act 2: The Federal Investigation. Act 3: The Trial. Takes on an easy to follow narrative structure which makes it easy to digest the information at hand. I can see why this is such a popular book, it's accessible as well as stunningly rigorous in its attention to detail.

Kenny Werner goes over all of the basic info in his book Effortless Mastery with some more clarification and reflection, and provides lots of new stuff to chew on. This is basically Effortless Mastery except better. It's really great. Kenny Werner's aim to take all of the fear and overwhelming nature of practicing one's artistic talent and help you unlearn it. The only "self-help" type book with value, very practical

Reading this because Charlie Kaufman is penning a film adaptation. Really cool so far. There's already this very interesting element, where the disappearances are understood as this sudden instant shift in how people view things even though in reality the act of ridding their society of perfume or flowers or whatever is an unnatural, drawn-out, brutal process.
