Starting THE REAL Dressmaker book 11/23

Started as a random Libby read and the cover ALMOST made me too embarrassed to put this on my list, but I am really enjoying it. It is cracking me up!

Feeling Libby pressure for the first time in my life! Only have a few days left for this and one other hold that just arrived. Cross your fingers for me!

Slow go due to crazy schedule, but really enjoying!

Or even a half star for this one! Not sure how it got on my Libby shelf, but did not like at all!

Jumps all over the place-goes on too long, but now have to see what happens with the other brothers-and hopefully Tara.

First one I read for 2025 Mock Newbery and a definite contender! Such an important story. Fipp’s verse writing is captivating. Did not know how ahead could top Starfish, but….

So many post it’s! Decided to write notes in this-will go back often I know!

The fact that this one is taking me so long tells you how much I am not enjoying compared to Penny’s other books!

Have decided to abandon! Just can’t get invested and have so many others to read!

Not loving this one but have to finish. This is a difficult topic and polonsky is handling it with grace. I love the poems, and they are what is making me keep reading. Right now do not think I will include in MockNewbery.

I am SUPPOSED to be reading Moby Duck for the family book club, but was recommended this series/author by my sister and nieces. Any bet on which one gets finished first?!?!
