Hm. I’m so conflicted about this book so far. The romanticizing of israeli boys on the beach with the simultaneous disparagement of Palestinian taxi drivers has me unsettled. I’m not sure if we’re meant to dislike this FMC but that’s what it feels like. Also I’m unsure of Hammad’s writing. I’ve read her nonfic and loved it, but this has felt very…info dumpy so far?
