Gonna be honest, I feel really bad for Mieko and her children, but Kadokura? Not so much. Absolute deadbeat, terrible husband, and he manages to cause almost as much upset as possible to his family while back in the past, placing the onus of treating Mieko well before her accident on the kids because, he's not even in the country! Sure, they can say what they want knowing they have limited time, but seriously??

For some reason I've been reading this book at a snail's pace since the start of July, which is strange since I'm actually really rocking with it, so I'm forcing myself to lock in

I'm trying to figure out how the parts are actually split up, and I still don't know

This might come back to bite me, but this is the only POV I've really enjoyed so far. While I 100% got what Han Kang was doing with the husband and the brother-in-law, reading about how In-hye genuinely loves her sister, despite fearing for her, and how she (so far) is one of the only people who doesn't want to take advantage of Yeong-hye (even acknowledging that that's what her husband did) is quite nice

Murderbot is carrying out some espionage shit and trying to prevent dozens of innocent people being murdered by corporates, meanwhile the feral bot upstairs is having the time of its life slamming into things and dragging B-E's vehicle around like Achilles dragging Hector's corpse. All I can imagine is this 4 metre behemoth going 'Weeeeee!'

Murderbot has obviously had some issues before the last book, but now it and Mensah are true PTSD buddies! Yikes!

Any time this mf is disgusted by his poor wife, all I'm thinking is YOU'RE A RAPIST! YOU ARE A RAPIST! YOU DON'T GET TO ACT LIKE THAT!
