I start to like this book but always get slapped in the face by how grossly misogynistic it is. Fascination with boobs, Stacy being obsessed with penis’s, the men all being calm and collected while the women are unstable, selfish, stupid. Like, shut up Scott

Pretty sure I know the identity of a certain character (avoiding giving spoilers) but I’m uncertain if it’s supposed to be a plot twist or not.

I feel like Jeremy thinks he’s making really intelligent, mind blowing commentary, when he’s actually just saying what everyone already knows. We aren’t stupid Jeremy, we know that justice favors the wealthy and life’s unfair. He doesn’t add anything, it’s just regurgitation with an air of moral superiority

So the two friends in this book constantly say demeaning things towards woman, it’s literally acknowledged in the book, and we’re supposed to root for them?

This author is absolutely disgusting, the most dude bro horny book I’ve ever read. Reminds me why I should be wary of male authors cause wtf is this? But I feel like I should keep going, heres to hoping it’ll get better. I haven’t even hit 50 pages yet

I’m still not feeling any chemistry between Damen and Julian, it just feels forced. I could forgive the insta love being a jumping off point but, at this point, I need more than that

I don’t like how Balthazar is constantly hitting on Julian, it feels unfaithful to Christian

I’m not sure I’m strong enough to keep reading this, it is the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever read. And it’s only page 44

I find the treatment of the twins as one person, especially during the intimate scenes, pretty disturbing. Twins are separate people. As a twin, I find it disgusting to even think about doing anything sexual with my sister near me.

I love this book but Sadie is really starting to frustrate me. I get that she’s hurt by Sam but it’s pretty shallow to completely drop someone you were so close to based on assumptions. And her comments about him being late or not arriving to work? He just amputated his foot!! Come on girl, have some human decency. She acts like he killed her dog or something

The way Bockoven writes about women is really throwing me off. It’s like, the powerful women are powerful DESPITE being a woman. Bringing up a girls boobs, thinking that she’d care about that during a disaster?? Describing the main game the girls would play being a “fake selfie” game? Come on dude.
I don’t know, I hope I’m just reading into things and it’ll get better

People who think that confederate statues should still be honored should read this book. Maybe it would get through their skulls then that those were monsters

I’m hoping the love triangle isn’t going to be a huge part of the story, not a huge fan of those
Also….Nick and Sel should kiss. That tension is hot

The characters are feeling very one dimensional. You have the mean girl, the perfect girl, the ally, and all of the rest are background noise and followers. Just feels a bit shallow.

Why don’t we see Parisa’s initiation ritual? I’m hoping there’s some substantial explanation and not the author just forgetting. Hers was the one I was looking the most forward to, considering I’m not feeling very close to her character currently

Dnf, this series put me in a reading slump

If Violet is so powerful, why does she constantly need to be saved and protected? I’ll lose it if I have to hear “keep her safe” one more time

I know I just started but this book is reading very young, I didn’t expect Violet to be twenty at all
