Very surprising turn, I like it a lot

Was sceptical at first but I kinda like it now

It’s kinda pro religion? And he says it’s bad that science makes people think the human “is only” flesh and blood or a machine etc. I find the book a bit useless

Sounds like everyone is supposed to be a farmer and self sufficient?

It’s kinda outdated and mentions scientific advance as the culprit. Mentions reading newspaper or listening to the radio as addictions??

When Dex family is mentioned this book really becomes unrealistic. There is no conflict at all. Ever. And they are this big polyamorous family just living together in peace?? While this book is on some accounts better than the first it is by no means a good book

I don’t like the authors attitude to animals at all. On page 104 a fish is described as “something” rather than someone. And in this utopian world they could not make do without killing animals??

I like the robot. Some of the topics are nice, like what is organic, inorganic, once something is so processed that I doesn’t recycle it’s outside the cycle of life etc. but still don’t enjoy the book or the main character. Mostly reading to finish and because it’s shot

I don’t like the main character much, he doesn’t know what he wants and is also kinda rude. In general the book is a little boring, I like the robot but it’s more wanna-be philosophy

The they/them makes it so hard to read and so confusing. Not sure if I can finish this.

Really good and concise book. Some things I knew but some things that I never fully understood are also explained really well.

Not sure about the flow of the chapters, it’s very interesting but no clear thread to follow (e.g. chronological, maybe it’s a bit geographical but still)

This book is a lot about Buddhism, I hope he will also touch on some other topics

Chapter 3 was maybe a bit less easy to read and less interesting, maybe because too many names were mentioned. But very interesting that Greek gods might’ve influenced the looks of Hindu gods

Very interesting already! It feels a bit as if he is not a fan of Hinduism though and very pro Buddhism
