I swear, if our author Carissa does us wrong at the end of this trilogy and Tisaanah and Max do not end up together, I will never forgive her.

I don’t think Carissa Broadbent can write a bad book! I’m 1/3 of the way into this first book and I’m already hooked on this trilogy.

Ugh. Why does the FMC have to sound so stupid sometimes? Like, really, “douchewaffle”? You are telling me that an immature human that talks/thinks like that is going to be what an educated fae price is going to be attracted to and want as queen? Really??

I love the worlds that LJ Andrews creates- whether it be this series, the Broken Kingdoms series, the Ever Seas series…her magic systems are unique. I love in this book that the MMC is non-verbal and signs. Can’t wait to see how this ends- but I don’t want to end at the same time!

Re-reading for book club. How did I almost forgot about the accidental cannibalism…?

Still waiting for Killian to pull a Tamlin or a Dain Dain move…it’s bound to happen, right?? 😬

I know how these romantasy series go…never trust the first love interest! But PLEASE…I like Killian…sure I’m suspicious what he was doing early on in the slums, but…ugh. I’m waiting for it.
