She’s getting better as she realizes she’s just a normal person. Again, how America or Maxon let her ego get so large, or even have a daughter so insecure is kind of odd to me. I feel it’s a little out of character for those two. But I do think she’s proving she’s more like her father, even if it took some time.

Forgot how entitled Eadlyn is. I feel like America and Maxon would have raised a queen with more perspective. I would’ve liked to see her go through a similar character arc like Maxon did in his Selection, but through her eyes.

Insanely good, I can barely put it down.

Still so beautifully written. Every sentence is like poetry.

It’s picking up and I’m really enjoying this. I can’t wait to see how this one wraps up.

Very interesting concepts happening rn. Everyone is learning more about themselves and their characters are shifting, but I really like it. It makes sense that people would change quite a bit after what they’ve all been through.

I also cannot wait for the grand reveals of what’s actually happening because each story line has secrets that I’m sure will tie together beautifully.

I feel like every character kind of starts behaving the same way. Sometimes Sel acts more like Nick, even Valec has moments that feel out of character. And through it all, Bree continues to hinder herself by letting bitterness get in the way of her exploring her gifts.

Though I am glad she’s starting to understand her root powers by now.

The book is very good beyond Bree’s own actions purposefully hindering her progress. I think she is too smart to let her rage get the best of her the way it continues to.

This book has a somewhat nostalgic feel, bringing me back to the golden age of dystopian stories like the Hunger Games. So far, while I don’t love that Violet is another tiny female MC, I do love that she has some serious disadvantages she has to overcome. Her joint problems and size require her to be tricky which is very realistic. Then Xaden… still getting my finger that whole thing.
