is this book just about people walking around paris and stopping for a drink? the dream though

crazy how everyone in this book is completely incompetent except for hulda

love dolores as a character - makes me think about how much mothers yearn to understand their daughters, especially when they’re struggling. interesting as well how dolores and even brigid are fully realised characters that we seek to understand rather than just “typical irish mammy” types, we see them as humans instead of just mothers/women

took me a while to get into the swing of this but loving it now, loving the flow between the generations of women. the characters are wonderfully honest

these two are a little toxic but i'm somewhat ok with it..... I liked the way seeing Emma's dad again was written too

getting into this now but if she mentions the high school debate team one more time i may scream

enjoying the whole roadtrip adventure aspect of this but these two characters haven't a clue what's going on

whole chapter on LGBTQ+ slang and how it’s developed/been appropriated was so interesting
