Yo, why is the average rating so low? Maybe it gets worse or something but right now I’m hooked

I’m not dying of cancer or anything but I’ve dealing with debilitating chronic illness these past few years and the way she’s talking about how she got her friend into Kpop to lift her spirits while going through chemo reminds me of how my sister introduced me to Kpop when I was at one of the lowest points with my health and we really bonded over it in a huge way. This is making me tear up so much 😭

Yall idk what the deal is lately but almost every book I’ve picked up someone in it has cancer. It’s depressing as fuck.

I’m sorry but the descriptions of what kids are wearing sound like they’re written by someone who has zero clue what high schoolers are wearing these days lmao

I think the flashbacks are supposed to give historical context and perspective from the other characters but they’re kinda boring… 🥱

Ive listened to a few other books narrated by Rebecca Lowman and I really love her narration. She’s done the other two Rainbow Rowell books I’ve read and I feel like it’s partly why I enjoyed them so much. A narrator can really make or break the experience

When I started reading this I kept thinking that the plot was EXACTLY like this Korean film I had watched and turns out that movie was actually based on this book 👀 also, I think I’m gonna dnf because I’m so annoyed with this plot twist that makes absolutely no sense and now the book is restarting from the other persons POV?? Whyyyyyy I don’t care

Diana Gabaldon is definitely one of the best writers I’ve come across. And the narrator of the audiobooks, Davina Porter, is so damn good. Really adds to the experience.
