prologueeee, already got me wanting to go hiking again and backpacking

can’t stop but must. though i would love to keep reading. the emotions that jeanie and logan feel don’t feel overly silly or anything that ends up being annoying. maybe it’s because ive seen some of gilmore girls and can picture why the stress is there haha

the book is whizzing by which is unfamiliar compared to everything else i’ve been reading (yay like 1.5 times line space and large font size) but i’m invested :,)

they kissed! cute but little steamy vibe. definitely haven’t really read anything like this in a long time but it’s fun and easy!

So far pretty silly, setting up the cute small town vibe. I feel like because of the books I’ve recently read, I’m reading too much into the “perfect town” lifestyle vibe and assuming there’s some sinister stuff going on behind the scenes. Though that’d be a fun twist. This girl can’t stop talking about how hot the farmer man is tho.

AHHH. siri cant do her plan, lightsong wont vote, and vivenna thinks she needs to save siri and that the god king is awful 😭. this is one of those frustrating times where i want everyone to be able to talk to each other and get aligned lol. lightsong is such a dramatic guy but im appreciating his careful thinking here with war looming

it’s kind of crazy that we’re just now getting a more technical explanation of biochroma and breath. but i’m digging the vibe of Vasher now that he’s not some mystical dude with a crazy sword. also don’t really know where this is gonna go with like 100ish pages left.

Lightsong is my favorite character so far. What a goober but he’s got that lovely stubbornness mixed with brains and care. Still feeling bad for Vivenna though, was really hoping her and Denth would be a thing but maybe her and Vasher will be 😅

I forget where I stopped but I’m pumped to see who Lightsong was in his past life. Feels bad for Vivenna though, but it is interesting seeing the difference in her and Siri’s lives now

AHHH Denth is no bueno, and poor Parlin. I also don’t know how best to picture Suseborn especially as him and Siri get closer. I always pictured him as this demon-like dude but he seems to be normal man vibe but larger. Also poor Vivenna, I’m no longer annoyed by her and just feel bad for how naive she is and the predicament she’s in

thoughts updates: Lightsong seems like he’s Arsteel but Returned version. Vivenna is getting on my nerves but it’s okay because it makes sense that she’s being annoying and not understanding all the common people after being a royal all her life. And I love the little friendship between Lightsong and Siri going on

It’s Siri’s presentation day and now everyone is coming together. Ah! I also heard this is a romance and I don’t know what the main romance is yet so hopefully it’ll be clear soon. There’s a few couples going but I gotta assume it’s a cross-level couple rather than one of the existing ones. Vivenna and the God King??? 👀
