Need a page turner after like 4 straight books on ancient empires.

Have been putting this off for years. Needs to be read in the Winter and I haven’t read a King novel in a while so figured the timing was finally right.

First book on my overly ambitious world history book adventure that’s probably going to end up taking me like 5 years. Starting at the beginning (humanity-wise) more or less.

Fire

Starting my long-awaited civil war book run after just getting back from seeing a bunch of historical civil war stuff out east.

This is incredibly well written throughout but will alternate between being fairly boring and very engaging. Hasn’t been the easiest to get through.

Can’t overstate how excited I am to finally read this. Been putting it off until Dune 2 comes out because after Oppenheimer I decided not to read a book before the movie ever again if I could help it. Should be around halfway done by the time I see Dune 2, which covers second half of the book. The movie was probably my favorite of the last 10 years, and from what I’ve heard the book is even better. Pumped!
