This is really hard for me to read. Because on the one hand, I feel very seen. It’s repulsive in its unflinching honesty, but at the same time it rings so very true. But also, I need life to be a little more glamorous than this and am uncomfortable stripping away the veneer of civilization 😅 It’s a bit too much to handle!

I just couldn’t finish. The writing was lovely and witty, but there was just no plot and I found it hard to care about the protagonist’s fate when all he ever really did was reminisce and enjoy nice things

So far… it’s a slog.
