How tf are these people getting away with such unnecessary violence lol. One character beats the crap out of someone and the sheriff just ignores it like “anyway, back to the case…” EXCUSE ME?!?! What is happening 😂 the amount of random outbursts of violence is making me chuckle

I feel like this book isn't going to get any more interesting. It feels like nothing is happening. They get the classic "evil stepmother," who only gets a small amount of attention. The time switches are random and confusing. I don't understand the plot. The Dutch House isn't even really a huge part of it, in my opinion.

I can already tell this book is gonna make my heart hurt.
