I just finished reading Forever Elko by Kim Bastian, but it's not on goodreads & I have had no luck importing it despite it having an ISBN, being online, and being released through a proper publisher.

But I'd give it 4/5 stars.

Really like the slightly erratic pacing & how the non-linear storytelling has an arc of its own by smoothing out towards the end. A cool little slice of travelogue memoir.

Probably best that two books I spent $40 on last year are not on Goodreads & won't import. Took a chance on a local author. Neither he nor his editor caught dozens of spelling/grammar problems in the first few pages. The books are a self-help advice journal exercise thing & if I didn't sense the author's good will, I would take it for a scam. Instead, is spam. Undeveloped concept, extremely rushed execution. 1 star.
