I’ve loved and adored this book. I’m almost finished, but all the themes, the way of storytelling, the messages, the characters, everything is so full of depth and emotion. I’ve really connected to it, and I think about it a lot during the day.

Started September 14th, been reading intermittently ever since. Love it.

Loving it so far. Blew through most of it on the bus yesterday, but still got a fair chunk to go.

I’m so enthralled!!!!!!!! This book has so far done me a lot of good, and my perspective has actually shifted somewhat.

So charming so far, well written and very Leopoldesque in its ecological philosophy.

Beautiful beautiful, so philosophical and prophetic

Very naturalist, this well spoken, grounded man was far ahead of his time in his understanding of modern issues. We really haven’t changed, simply worsened, he would be devastated to hear.

Listening to the audiobook, I quite enjoy the quippy style of writing, despite the circumstance.

I like the manner of writing so far. It’s interesting, how the plot builds.

Excellent so far. Very well written, I’d like to finish it by tomorrow. Maybe a couple days from now.

I find comfort in reliving this experience, but it is very uncomfortable. I hate that it’s so applicable, I hate how much these sisters are like my sister and I… it’s gutting, but in a way, makes me feel less alone.

Very insightful and honest, painfully detailed and well written.

Ugh like reading the most eloquent poetry but longer and flowing and just the most wonderful little stories and thoughts… my favourite style of book.

Quite jolly while Anne has been talking about Peter. I also appreciate her inclusion of the current events. Still quite an interesting read.

It’s quite stirring and slowly paced. Very intense and also deeply personal.

Very jolly so far, and light-hearted. Unfortunately, I know where it’s about to go but I’m taking in the sweetness of her cheerful accounts for right now.

So far, very good. I love all the words Laurence uses, I’m envious of her vocabulary and storytelling abilities (and detail) thus far.
