wow the next story after the gun violence one is not any better!!

this one is about a guy stuck on a cloud and he’s fantasizing about his friend that he’s obsessed with! in such a creepy way! and we’re supposed to root for him! love is not obsession, Joe. If you want me to care about these people, make them not total creeps that fuck clouds (not hyperbolic, he actually does this) and expect to get the girl

where along the line did we fuck up so badly by putting an “American History X” kind of short story in the middle of your collection?

Joe, I understand wanting to show the terrors of modern America, but your first story was about a camera that erases people’s memories. how did we get from there to a gun violence/mass shooting story that does not end happily for everyone EXCEPT the racist gun wielding dude

cool concepts so far. writing style is very similar to his dad’s, and I do not mean that as fully a compliment or an insult lol

fuck this book and fuck Fredrik Backman for making me cry so hard I started dry heaving barely past the 30 page mark. I’m gonna finish it tomorrow. literally rolling over in my own fucking grave about this one
