This is such a dense read —not that it is difficult to understand, but that there is so much said in every sentence that you often need to pause and think on what you just read. Volf does an extraordinary job discussing the beauty of how God embraces the world —both those who suffer and those who cause suffering. Volf presents a challenging view and ethic that is otherwise unheard of.
