Robert Massa is reading The Count of Monte Cristo
Some great cinematic moments but honestly could have been tighter. It’s looooooooooooong.

Robert Massa is 40% done with The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder
Decent. A bit overrated. There are many other books that cover this kind of story and do it better.

Moon is very honest. Helpful if you are familiar with Frank Zappa.

Robert Massa is on page 300 of 487 of The Centurions
Bailing on it. Can’t get into it because there is nothing driving the plot forward. Hard to tell the characters apart. First section of the book set in Vietnam is interested then there is a section set back in France that is dull and a slog to get through. Nothing happens. Still struggling to tell the characters apart, and honestly, I don’t care enough to continue reading.

Robert Massa is reading Brave Men
Great reading about the WWII allied invasion of Italy and France from a correspondent that was there. Easy to read and full of details I have not heard before.

Robert Massa is reading If It Bleeds (Holly Gibney #2)
Stephen King sets up a decent premise but has no idea how to have a satisfying climax and resolution. Im reminded why I bailed on his books decades ago.

Robert Massa is reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Other Tales of Terror
Three stories. Jekyll & Hyde has more depth than you might think of you only know the story by reputation like I did.

Robert Massa is reading In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex
Pretty good. The last two chapters are anticlimactic but I guess are needed for historical purposes.
