Overall a good, interesting mystery. The only thing that didn't grab me was that the "story within a story" was a horror novel, a genre that I have zero interest in, so I skipped over chunks of this book rather than relishing them like I usually do. That is merely a matter of personal preference, though, not any fault of the author for having different tastes from mine.
