Okay so I feel bad for Nina. Didn’t see that coming. To live in such fear for 7 years is insane. She is utterly trapped and Andrew has been the absolute worst. I hope he is the dead body at the end of the book. And Nina helps kill him.

Okay so he is evil. And this behavior is repetitive. But why would Nina do the same thing to her is Andrew trapped her in? Very confused but it’s interesting to get Nina’s POV

Andrew is evil. I have a huge feeling. Dang it it’s always the cute ones. How the heck is this going to unfold?? Is Enzo a spy? How can he speak good English all of a sudden?

I was right. They did sleep together. I mean how could they not?? The author was foreshadowing it the entire book. But Nina is going to find out instantly and I just know things are about to get ugly.

I am enjoying the book so far. Nina is a bitch. Plain and simple. I really want the husband and her to hook up. That would actually be awesome but then I think Nina would try and kill her.

Okay beginning of book prediction, Millie either murders the child or the mom does. OR the dad murders the family to be with Millie.

I feel like I am so off. But we shall see!

The Alliance came to help! I am honestly kind of shocked how quickly this is escalating. It’s taken me by surprise. Maybe it’s because it’s a smaller book.

Impressed with the book so far. I was not expecting that they would be captured so soon. The attack on the fort was very similar to the Hunger Games and how they watched it on the little radio screen. I like the aesthetic of this book in my head and all the moments that have happened.

Is this predictable so far? Yes. But I am still enjoying it. I am actually kinda shocked that Ms. Tally was hung in a cage for people to see her corpse. Was more graphic than I expected from this book but I kinda liked how intense that got. Bastian seems like such a sweet soul. I wonder if he will be used against us in the future?

I am curious what she meant by cutting her thumb on the tree branch and how it was a different feeling? Also I knew Ms. Talley would be the one executed. Of course they would find out. Also Zara has wind powers. That boy is going to be an ally in the future.

Zara is definitely an anomaly. I don’t know how yet but it was introduced to the reader early that it was a possibility I just don’t know how it would get passed down to her. Also how can she not know that this boy has a crush on her. Her casually mentioning that he has been staring at her for months… girl yes he is interested

Zara has a power! I can feel it in my bones. I can tell she has a huge rebel in her and that’s going to cause trouble. We just saw a man get beat at the town meeting.
