Idk how Im still reading exposition Im excited for this book to pick up speed

I guess my favorite non fiction genre is “books about history that center themselves on a crime but then zoom out and focus on the conditions that allowed that crime to occur” because I’m enjoying this book on “Say Nothing” levels

I honestly feel like this book is what A Little Life wishes it was because damn

I’m afraid I’m like 75% sure I know a nefarious twist that’s coming and I am not excited this book is emotionally exhausting

I literally had to put down this book and gasp several times since I last updated this plot is going balls to walls (in a good way I’m really enjoying it)
