Just can’t get into it. Will not finish

I’m struggling to believe Dean Koontz actually wrote this. The writing is confusing and almost flat out stupid at times. The descriptions are out of control “...protecting her eyes from the sharp elf of shattered branches, twigs, and crisp brown oval leaves set afire and swarming like a pestilence of beetles”

I’m trying to love it... I want to love it..... i neeeeed to love it, but.. I’m not loving it....

I'm kinda over the series- entirely too much pointless sex....
But, I feel like I'm too invested and need to find out how it all ends. I might kick myself for it later- but I really loved her newest series, so I'll keep on plugging along

Added graphic sex scenes does not make a bad book better

She's tattooed. She's goth. She's got a bad past. Just because you use the F word here and there doesn't make it any less repetitive.
