Finished the part about the Indian ancestors. This book leaves me feeling very conflicted. I like what it is teaching me about mexican culture...even if some of it is not applicable any more...according to my husband. In my limited view, it is very true that mexicans and americans view death differently. I cry at sad movies, sergio is indifferent and cannot understand at all why i'm crying..no, he is not a sociopath.

Just finished Ender's Shadow. Everyone told me they cried reading it, but I wasn't really in a crying mood and I'd read Ender's Game multiple times....but now I'm sobbing in my bed wishing my husband was here to laugh at me and tell me it's just a book. I just keep hearing in my head the scripture Bean quoted near the end and my heart breaks all over again.
