A little bit of regression as a treat

This isn’t the type of text you read, but one you spend a lifetime referencing and relying upon for botany work…. I’ll still mark it as “read” when/if I move from CA. One aspect that I appreciate in the Jepson versus Michigan Flora (my previous bible) is the inclusion of illustrations. They’re intentional to highlight small details that differentiate species and subspecies and have been super helpful :)

I initially enjoyed this but it’s started to lag. The idea may have been better suited for a short story
