clary pls. just shut up for once

i like this simon jace friendship

proof jace is a herondale: “I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there’s a life after that, I’ll love you then.” sucks about the pretenses they’re under. sigh.

valentine has a vocabulary of 10 words i can’t take him seriously anymore. i’m tired of his retorts and monologues

it equally pains me and annoys me that jace and sebastian don’t know their true names

what happens when two characters who think they’re siblings when they’re soulmates are two characters with annoying savior complexes? they constantly trip each other up

i highly doubt valentine (a grown man) would discuss the same thing with clary and jace (teenagers) over and over and over. i’m sick of it and i’m not 40 and psychotic

luke deserves a vacation and a big hug

“Lawful good to lawful evil!” said Simon, pleased. “He’s quoting Dungeons and Dragons,” said Clary. “Ignore him.”

luke giving clary his stele 💔❤️‍🩹

what if the monsters reflect andrews hunger for thomas and andrews stories created the monsters…not the art

“This is all they were, at the end of it all, boys with stomachs empty and concave, waiting to be filled by Wickwood and forests and rot.”

“That’s not my name,” he said. “My name is Jace Wayland.”

a slay

“Clary,” he said firmly. “This is my father.”

who knew the same line could anger me 13 years later

The late afternoon light came in through the curtains and made his face a study in contrasts. Chiaroscuro

”Filters are for cigarettes and coffee,” Simon muttered under his breath as they went inside.“ Two things I could use right now, incidentally.”

“Haven’t you ever heard that modesty is an attractive trait?”
“Only from ugly people,” Jace confided.

“Unfortunately,” said Hodge, “we’re all out of bitter revenge at the moment, so it’s either tea or nothing.”

“Don’t be ridiculous,” she heard Jace say

he’s said this three times now and i know i used to be a jace girl but i am unbiased when i say i love that he says this so much lmao

“You’re not gay, are you?”
Simon’s greenish color deepened.
“If I were, I would dress better.”

simon is funny i never gave him much credit
