Just wanted to make an update to share that Chapter 25 of this book is the most unnerved I've felt by a book since I read The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum. Although I've found horror books to be gripping, I've never (that I can recall) truly been scared by a novel except by TGND and this chapter. I can't guarantee you'll have the same experience—horror books are different for all—but I just wanted to share mine.

Was it intentional that the story didn't cross from 1962 to 1963 until roughly 63% of the way into the book? I don't know, but I know I intentionally got to 63% today on the anniversary of JFK's assassination.
