The description of the thespian collapsing in the middle of a performance was the first event that actually made me feel something. The described nonchalance of those that witnessed it, as if common occurrence, was masterful. My only disappointment is that it was so short an episode as opposed to those lengthy descriptions described in my last update.

Okay, look. I understand the desired objectivity from the narrator, but I see in no way how this book has been given over 4 stars when a half-decent writer could have accomplished this experience, thus far, in half the pages.

I despise Nobokov as a human being. His opinions on Sartre and Camus were, nevertheless, correct.
