Explaining Wolfe's journey as he hikes the mountain. He slips and almost falls down the hill but was able to jam his ice pike into the ice to catch his fall. Suspensful moment where he considered what to do next.

prejean is starting to go through a spiritual transformation to a life of social justice. Due to the circumstances of having to talk with the man on death row.

So she is a Nun if that's considered a job. She previous traught young children as a Nun but has not since being assigned to Sonnier.

Helen read the case report of the Sonniers and if overwhelmed with what it says. She does not know what to think, due to her being taught to forgive.

So far it's illustrating how blacks were treated in the early 1900's to late 1900's. And how the narrator felt about it, because she was only a young girl at the time.
