“Perhaps this ferocity, this casual cruelty, has always been there.”

“Watching as protests against police brutality were met with expansive and joyous amounts of police brutality.” Crazy line when the whole book is dealing with a piece of the actual devil that makes people do crazy things, that line is sadly the most accurate human part. The evil influence is constantly compared to human nature in the book so far.

I really enjoy the spiral this book takes you through with the different perspectives and how evil may or may not effect different characters.

So far I would call this book a government project, having tough guys deal with something that slipped from someone who was held in too high of power and used pain just like those tough guys. Very good, very vicious cycle and I’m concerned how this book ends.

I grew up watching the movies and I’m ashamed I never read the books however I’m glad I read Haymitch’s game first.

4.5 rated up I will say even though my stomach turned a thousand times I enjoyed the subtle hints of humanities reaction if an outbreak were to occur, hopefully never along the lines of this story. Very well written and always painted a very descriptive scene of the gruesome worms doing their thing and their motives.

I love this author however I am going to take a break from reading this book because I feel the atmosphere of this story would go better during a good snow storm 🌨️ ❄️ I am for sure going to be returning to this book

I really like it so far however I might wait to finish until winter because that’s more fitting with the scene.

Love the author, the concept was interesting just wasn’t my favorite. Aaron Beauregard still creates a chaotic scene
