Went to a reading in the park event and was able to get 1/4 a way through the book! So far it’s a really lovely read. The writing style is very poetic and it’s enjoyable to get lost in the story, even though the main character is making some insane decisions which are stressful.

Oh my lord. This is the worst book I ever read!! Ha! It’s like every romance novel trope rolled into one it’s so terrible!! But I simply must push through hehehehehhehe
I genuinely find myself having to put down the book and like touch grass after every other page. I feel diabolical for reading this out in public but I MUST see it to the end

Shout out to Camille (she’s not on Goodreads) for lending me this book!! The author is having a book tour and one of the stops is SF during the time I’m there and I’m so excited to go in September. Therefore I must consume everything r f kuang has written!! This one has been on my list for a while and so far it’s really good

Really enjoyable so far! After this one I am locking in on my other books. I’ve read through about half of the characters POV introduced so far and enjoying how they are all connected
