Treebeard is my new favourite character

I’m glad I’m listening to this instead of reading it. I think I may have given up but listening makes Tolkiens writing much more digestible.

Total guess as to where I’m up to. Listening to Andy Serkis sing all the songs gets a bit old eventually.

I’m listening to this as an audiobook so I have no idea how far through I am. It is good fun.

I’d forgotten just how good this is

I’ll admit to finding a second copy of this on my shelves, clearly I gave up on this one once before. And I can already see why. I’m going to stick with it for now as I’d like to see how it connects to other story arcs in the same universe but it may be heading for the DNF shelf.

First book in the omnibus was a banger. Nice to read a 40K story where the events of the story aren’t universe changing.
