This shit is bomb, interesting and well written. The way the author lays out portions of information makes it easy to be curious and not frustrated at the concept. Well done. I am invested.

This thing is dense and reads like an academic. I like how the author references other already written sources. However, I am muscling through the pages with discipline and respect, not enthusiasm. It’s about as dry a cereal with no milk.

This is such a unique concept I am finding it hard to put down. Flipping through the pages like I’m binging a Netflix special.

Epic tale about the saddest story you’ll ever read… in yet, I couldn’t put it down. This is a brutal story about a system and those who are swallowed by it while others are never contented until they saw real and true justice.

On the surface, it seems straightforward, but things gradually slow down and draw you in. By page 69, I could feel the world shift — but at times, the tension goes stale, like a pretzel left out too long. Still, I’m holding on for the reveal.

This book is dragging. I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be a romance or a CI murder thriller, but it’s failing at both. The action is flat, the romance is dull, and the characters aren’t interesting enough to make me care. By the 200-page mark in a 400-page book, I should be hooked. I’m nearly halfway through, and I’m still not.

It gets wordy in the lore to the point where I find myself rereading several chapters just to understand. The dialogue is weak so far between the characters. But the concept is really good and the plot seems to be strong. We will see if it holds my attention.

I’m on page 120 and I’m getting annoyed with some of the alluding major plot points. We know Shane is the father of Brooke’s baby. We know he allegedly killed people. Blah blah. It is frustrating that this point keeps being made over and over. It’s not given me tension it’s instead dulling my experience. I like almost everything else about the book otherwise. Brooke feels like the typical trauma victim.
