I’m so confused by Alice’s accent(s). Is it southern? Maybe British?

Not a huge fan so far. The male voice actor tries way too hard to make his voice sound deep and sultry and mysterious, and the book in general feels like the temu version of crescent city. But I got the book for free and it’s long, so I’m taking that as a win lol

I’ve tried like 3 times to finish this book and I just can’t. Somehow each page is worse than the last the further you get. It could’ve been good but then it got possessive, rapey, and just weird.
