Bad guys never die. Good guys never win (until, I assume, the last book). Women never get the respect they deserve. 🙄

Why are there female povs when they entirely center around thinking about the men or overhearing the men? It’s so redundant. Third installment of this series and we STILL have lack of representation. Disappointing.

Absolutely no respect to women in this world. Along with the women being used as pawns to show how ~amazing- the men are, they are now being raped. Disgusting. What Lykos did to Fidele was terrible and so unnecessary. Why did John Gwyne have to include that? What did it add to the story? Nothing but another slap in the face to female readers.

Does John Gwyne even care about women? The few POVs we get from women STILL center around men and we’re nearly a thousand pages into this world… so disappointing. Cywen and Coralen could have been such good characters. But they’re just scraps to highlight how ~great~ the men are 😒

So boring. So so boring. The two added female povs are pretty much useless, only used to highlight how great the men are (just like with Cywen and Corban). The new povs only get three page chapters. The women in total have 19% of the book. I’m pretty sure I’m going to continue to be disappointed but I’m going to trudge through it.

Excited to see another female pov. Not so excited it still revolves around men (just like Cywen’s is more about Corban than her).

Cast of characters in the front has 79 men and 15 women (in the first book, only one of which had a POV). Already not great but I spent money on it so let’s get it done
