Beyond disappointed with this book so far. I’ve loved all the other books I’ve read by Palahniuk, but I’m just not enjoying this one. While I normally appreciate his style of pulling together a wide range of seemingly disconnected topics and themes into a nuanced and adept storyline, it feels like he gave up on the latter part of that equation here. Hoping things look up in the second half.
