This is why it’s so upsetting to hear people who have the pessimistic view of “us humans will kill ourselves with climate change but then the earth can be healed and live w/o humans.” What is the earth without the plants and animals? Climate change is killing them too! You should care abt them!

Thankful book club meeting got pushed back because I’m taking my time on this one. Not because it’s bad but because I have to savor it. Doing a lot of stopping and thinking…

I cry every chapter!! It’s so beautiful! Her stories bring up memories of my childhood and make me realize how disconnected from the earth I have become. I used to be part of it! I yearn for nature.

Suzanne’s being quite blunt with her warning about the dangers of AI. No analogy here, just straight up artificial intelligence nearly destroying humanity.

Ok not gonna say any spoilers… but I just finished part 1 and WTF?!?!?!?! And everything is far more brutal than Katniss & Peeta’s experience.
