Who ARE all these people? Is this all happening in the same timeline? I should've reread the first book 😂😂

I'm listening to this so I have no idea what percentage I'm done. Whatever end of chapter 2 is. I don't know if I'll continue. This is a weird Lovecraft like book (emphasis on weird) and I'm not jiving with the characters or my outsider perspective of NY. I will say that the narrator is INCREDIBLE, probably one of the best I've ever heard. Back to the shelf for now.

I needed something light to read. I literally haven't stopped smiling and giggling *kicks feet*

Aurora is sooo naive and almost childlike that it's giving me the ick.
(The chapters are written almost episodic with each and every one with a "I've never been touched by a man" disclaimer, if not verbatim, and I find myself yelling out loud, WE KNOW!)

This may be the MOST satisfying "who did this to you" in the history of who did this to yous...

I am biased towards women writers so my cynicism stems from that, but good lord, SHOW ME things instead of telling me.
(Make no mistake, this is a romantasy. A very YA one.)

This one is so good that I'm forcing myself to not stay up half the night to finish it. I'm not going to want the series to end 😓

The first book was fantasy with a slight romantic sub plot. This one is the opposite. I REALLY hope the second half of this book flops back to the fantasy and y'know, the WAR. It's still good but I'm pretty disappointed that this isn't just a side character novella.

I can already tell this is going to be my favourite series ever. (I hope)

I've been reading this book seemingly forever. I don't know why I keep setting it down because it's good! Is it maybe megalomaniac rulers starting wars for vanity on the page mirroring real life? Yeah probably that...

Honestly, I forget I'm even "reading" this until it comes on in the car. I don't know that grisly death and potential serial killing counts as a cozy mystery and the cinnamon is for the trees not autumn drinks. Sneaky marketing this season haha

Sigh...this one might be a dnf. It's lyrical Anne Rice, meets feminine rage but I think vampires just don't float my boat.
