i wasn’t into the beginning at ALL but im surprisingly really enjoying it? the characters are all so well developed that im equally invested in their story lines. the switch in povs isn’t jarring even though there are so many characters! inej is so real. kaz is hot. jesper is hilarious and insane. wylin is a cutie patootie. matthias is hot in a chaotic caveman way. i love them so much.

i am reminded of how it feels to read a book you can’t put down

I am enjoying this very much. The beginning was a bit slow, still funny, but lacking action. near the quarter mark, really began to pick up. it is simply hilarious. The aunties are much better than in the first book and it’s clear that we’re much more comfortable. i love it and i don’t know why it isn’t received better.

this is so painful to read, but im easing myself through it. i know the before memories are better, so i will feel much more at ease reading those. i cant believe i prefer the zombie apocalypse fanfiction over this. i hope their love will make the pain worth it.

it’s entertaining but i feel no desire to keep reading because there’s no immediate threat. it’s just the main plot line which is very drawn out. there are some tense moments but they are quickly resolved. the author also takes some weird directions with plot lines where they cut them off before they start. i understand that the changes made justify events divulging from canon, but it makes the story much worse

this is getting so... cartoony? dumbledore is voldemort 2.0. ron and hermione are evil. the most random side characters are coupling. harry has no shortcomings or character flaws, and every morally ambiguous character is just PRETENDING to be mean. like it's fun but i can't take shit serious

the plot is not moving. maybe i need to get further into it to see, but there’s no immediate threat. there’s obviously the main plot line, but that’s very very drawn out. like harry is supposed to be hiding all of these things from dumbledore and his friends and it’s dangerous if they find out, but it’s almost too easy. no challenges, no tense moments, no close calls. i hope it picks up.

so far: a lot of plot, little characterization. it’s a lot different than anything i’ve read. for how little interaction we’ve had between draco and harry, we are moving kinda fast.

im enjoying this a lot more than i expected. remus and snape are an odd pairing but make such sense. draco and harry are the softest boys. blaise and nev? once again, so much sense. i love that beyond the main pairing theres still a whole world, and we get to know more of the characters. theres also a sweet mystery going on with morgan, prof bridgewood, and remus. overall, love it love it

i can tell that this story is trying to be sad, and in some parts it really is, but it’s starting to become funny just how many people in this immediate group have a terminal illness and a month to live.
